STUDIO CITY
STUDIO CITY
Where mid-century meets family-friendly.
…and everyone swears they’ll never move east of the 101 again.
Where in the LA is Studio City?
Studio City sits just over the hill from Hollywood – close enough to feel the pulse of the city, but far enough to breathe. It’s bordered by Laurel Canyon, Fryman Canyon, and Ventura Boulevard’s best restaurants, studios, and shops.
HISTORY 10’1
Literally born from a film studio in 1927, Studio City grew around the industry – its early development shaped by mid-century architects who built hillside homes for Hollywood creatives. Today, that same spirit lives on in the neighborhood’s laid-back, design-forward energy.

Shopping & Food Recommendations
Rolling Greens
More than a plant nursery, it’s a curated world of plants, vintage furniture, and home goods. We always find ourselves shopping for open houses here.
Yume Sushi
This place is Studio City’s go-to for omakase magic: intimate, impeccably fresh, and always a little indulgent. Don’t sleep on the lunch special.
Sportsmen’s Lodge
We don’t know what we love more at this outdoor mall: the chic shops, the local bites, or the excellent people watching.
Granville
Not the trendiest spot, just the coziest – and where our inner child orders the grilled cheese and tomato soup, every time.
Lenny
Three words: custom vintage denim. We are obsessed with this place and literally only purchase our jeans here.
Joan’s on Third
Hot take: this is, hands down, the best chicken salad in LA. Also great for catching up over coffee.
